The Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID) is organizing a two day International Conference on “Globalisation of Knowledge Development and Delivery” in collaboration with Forum for Global Knowledge Sharing (FGKS), New Delhi. ISID is a multifaceted institution pioneering in many aspects of industrial policy, trade, investment and technology policy research under the Indian Council of Social Science Research, Ministry of Human Resource Development. FGKS is a specialised, interdisciplinary, web based global forum. It is designed for persons who have been contributing to R&D and publishing their research findings in professional journals.
Knowledge Forum had already organised two conferences earlier, one at Delhi in 2006 and the second one in Mumbai in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology, in 2007. This year’s conference on “Globalisation of Knowledge Development and Delivery” would cover the following issues: a) Globalisation of R&D—FDI in R&D; b) Mass Collaborations, Strategic Alliances, Open Source and Peer Production; c) Networking of Universities and Academic Institutions. Nearly 16 major research papers are expected to be discussed in six technical sessions.
